Danny the Dolphin is our school mascot, and Dolphin Dash is the largest fundraiser of the year.  It's a donation-driven fundraising event where students collect donations that are tied to their participation in a fun run at school, called the Dolphin Dash. The funds raised go to support enhanced educational experiences including field trips, teacher supplies, school events like the STEM Night, teacher stipends, playground equipment, books for the library, and much more! 
 

Dolphin Dash 2025-26 Details

Sep 10 - Sep 26:

Fundraising promotions are kicked off two weeks before Dash and finish the day of the Bash. We send home the Fundraiser Details and the Donation Form with each student. All our digital channels also promote fundraising for the next two weeks. Students raise money via donations from parents, grandparents, etc., to earn prizes for themselves and their classrooms. Parents can submit corporate matching to their employer to increase donations. We ask for suggested donation of $150 per student. The School Goal is $45K. A small team of fundraising volunteers (led by co-VPs of Fundraising spends $7K and countless hours to raise these funds.

  • Parents can submit donations online using the Pay Online link. Note- A small processing fee will be charged for credit card payments (Amex fees higher than other cards). 
  • OR Pay by Cheque using the physical forms sent home with their child soon! Donation forms need to be returned to school along with the check.

Monday to Friday, September 22-26:

We promote our fundraiser as Dash Spirit Week. Everyone is encouraged to dress up as per the Theme of the Day and spread the Fundraising spirit and message to families.

Thursday, September 25th:

This is Dash Day during school hours. All students will receive a free Dolphin Dash-themed t-shirt to wear at the Dolphin Dash and to show they participated in the event! We are grateful to the many community businesses who donate to our fundraiser to offset the cost of these shirts. All students will also get to enjoy Otter Pops and a fun Class Picture with Danny! 

Friday, September 26th:

We will celebrate our fundraising achievements with a 'GLOW' party called the 'Dolphin Glow Bash'. We will have a live DJ, glow crafts, and food trucks.

Volunteers are needed for Dash & Bash. Dash is during school hours, so we mostly expect parents to volunteer and come cheer their kids! Glow Bash is after school hence middle and high school volunteers are most welcome to earn some volunteer hours and have fun!
